About the role

BigPanda is looking for a Senior People Operations Partner to serve as the operational backbone of our People team. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role owns the full lifecycle of people programs that keep BigPanda compliant, competitive, and caring — from compensation and total rewards to leave management, and global entity operations. You will work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Security, HRBP and recruiting teams, and colleagues across the business to deliver seamless employee experiences and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Own BigPanda’s compensation infrastructure, including job leveling frameworks, salary bands, and compensation review cycles
  • Manage and optimize compensation tools and platforms; ensure data accuracy, access controls, and system integrity
  • Partner with Finance and leadership on compensation modeling, merit planning, and budget alignment
  • Lead compensation benchmarking using survey data and market intelligence; translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Support managers and HRBPs with compensation decisions, ensuring consistency, equity, and competitiveness
  • Drive education and transparency around compensation philosophy and total rewards across the employee lifecycle
  • Own and maintain employee handbooks, ensuring they remain current, legally sound, and aligned to BigPanda values in each location where we operate
  • Manage the full library of HR policies and procedures; lead periodic review cycles with Legal, Security, and leadership
  • Draft, manage, and maintain employee documents including offer letters, separation agreements, and code of conduct acknowledgments
  • Oversee mandatory compliance training programs — track completion, follow up on outstanding items, and maintain records
  • Ensure documentation and processes meet requirements across all operating jurisdictions
  • Manage BigPanda’s entities of record and our vendor across all operating jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Handle inbound requests related to relocation and global entity matters — employment verifications, certificates of good standing, regulatory filings — and triage to the appropriate internal or external resource
  • Partner with people operations to offer competitive total rewards programs in each location
  • Support international hiring and mobility by coordinating with global PEO providers and Employers of Record
  • General People Operations Partner with the other members of the people operations team to ensure programs, processes, and systems run smoothly and at a high standard
  • Serve as a go-to resource for People Operations questions from employees, managers, and cross-functional partners
  • Maintain and continuously improve the People team’s use of HRIS and related tools; identify and implement automation opportunities
  • Develop and document People Operations playbooks, SOPs, and self-service resources to scale the function efficiently
  • Support and contribute to special People team projects, ensuring operational execution is seamless
  • Vendor management: Own relationships with key People team vendors including compensation tools, leave platforms, and benefits administration; manage contract renewals, SOW reviews, and vendor performance; partner with Finance and Legal on procurement; evaluate and recommend new vendor solutions, applying an AI-native lens to assess automation and efficiency opportunities as BigPanda scales
  • Cross-functional partnership: Serve as a trusted partner to the people team, finance, legal, IT, and our employees to ensure seamless execution across all People programs; collaborate with HRBPs to translate policy and compliance requirements into practical employee and manager guidance; represent People Operations in cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives
