Senior Payroll Transformation Project Manager

Location: Durham, NC – 100% onsite from day 1

About the Role

The Senior Payroll Transformation Project Manager will lead the end-to-end payroll transformation program, ensuring all phases from planning to deployment are executed effectively. This role involves coordinating with various teams, managing budgets, and preparing executive reporting. The PM will drive payroll process design and testing, manage stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle, identify risks, and develop mitigation plans to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end payroll transformation program, including planning, execution, and deployment.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
• Manage project budgets and prepare financial and executive reporting.
• Drive payroll process design, testing, and validation.
• Engage and manage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in payroll transformation, with a focus on Oracle Cloud Payroll.
• Experience with ADP-to-Oracle migrations is preferred.
• Familiarity with U.S. and U.K. payroll systems is advantageous.
• Strong project management skills and experience managing complex stakeholder environments.
• Knowledge of payroll operations, compliance, and global payroll processes.
• Experience with budget management and financial reporting.

Skills

• Certifications in PMP, Agile, or Scrum are beneficial.
• Proficiency in advanced Microsoft 365 tools is a plus.
• Experience with enterprise planning tools like Smartsheet is desirable.
• Management accounting and budgeting expertise.
• Change management experience.
