Senior Project Manager (Transformation)
Job Description
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, tracking, and managing enterprise projects for a key client in the payments space. Responsibilities include organizing and facilitating project planning, hosting and attending daily stand-up meetings, participating in sprint reviews, leading and playing an active role in lessons-learned and retrospectives, evaluating sprint and release progress towards delivery of a cohesive project schedule, participating in demos and other Scrum-related meetings, conducting routine planning sessions with the Scrum Master, Client Engagement Manager, and Product Owner for alignment on project plan and roadmap, evaluating sprint/release progress as relative to the project plan, ensuring the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and visibility, leading projects assigned with ability to properly initiate, plan, execute, control and close work to meet outlined success criteria, producing project plans, estimates, and deliverables consistent with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, monitoring and reporting on project status, project milestones and issues, preparing estimates of Effort (EOE) and evaluating Estimates to Complete (ETC), interfacing with internal Business Analysts, Technical Personnel, and Management to assess and determine resource requirements and resolve conflicts, defining standards for Project Management documentation, measurements, and reporting, supporting project team with project deliverables as necessary, interfacing with Aperia Solutions clients as necessary regarding project status and issues.
Qualifications
- 4+ years’ experience in project management in an Agile environment
- Experience in delivery of technical software solutions using SDLC methodologies that support Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile models
- Familiarity with Project Management concepts, deliverables, and techniques
- Demonstrated experience in producing project tracking documentation
- Experience in conflict resolution
- Process orientation with emphasis on measurement and feedback
- Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Demonstrated leadership in motivating teams to high performance
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills at the business and technical level
- Strong work ethic, commitment and teamwork
- Able to work independently with little supervision
- Able to work flexible hours, especially during critical project schedules
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
