  • Strong knowledge/experience with ADP Smart Compliance, Workday, and KRONOS
  • Experience of federal and state regulations related to salaries, wages, taxes, benefits, and other payroll-related matters
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related area, or relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience processing high-volume, multi-state payroll and managing payroll tax for mid- to large-size companies
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

Responsibilities

  • Serve as escalation point and SME for complex payroll and tax issues, including amendments and tax discrepancies
  • Lead the month, quarter, and year-end payroll tax process
  • Run payroll tax integrations, research, correct discrepancies, and prepare reconciliations
  • Responsible for ensuring the execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual workers’ comp audit and tax incentive requests
  • RSU processing, including pre-payments/reversals, running integrations, researching, and correcting tax variances
  • Create and maintain complex Workday and payroll system reports
  • Maintain, test, and implement payroll tax updates, functionality, and process improvements
  • Research regulatory changes and assess the impact on payroll systems and processes
  • Lead and support payroll projects, system testing, and issue resolution across teams
  • Mentor and guide payroll team members; support management with departmental goals, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives
