About The Role

CLA is looking to hire a Senior Payroll Analyst who will be responsible for various aspects of the client’s payroll, including administration, distribution, and record-keeping. The Senior Payroll Analyst will provide accurate data in the preparation of the client's payroll and requires an individual who can work well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. As a Senior Payroll Analyst, You Will Assist Payroll Manager with oversight of payroll processing and work of Payroll Analyst I and Payroll Analyst II. Contribute to proposals and establishing fee quotes. Assist with onboarding of new clients and business including the interpretation of a variety of client data. Input, verify and transmit payroll data for firm clients to include processing bonus payments and other special payrolls upon request. Update the payroll system for new hires, terminations, salary changes, department changes, or any other pertinent payroll information received from the client. Review quarterly payroll tax reports as needed and prepare payroll journal entry reports as needed. Assist with workers’ compensation audits, preparation of employee census data, uploading retirement plan contribution data to TPA or custodian, process year end fringe benefit additions, and respond to tax notices as necessary.

Requirements

  • Five years’ experience in payroll processing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, human resources or related field required or high school diploma or equivalent and 6 years’ experience in payroll processing with 2 years supervisory experience working with complex payrolls, implementations and other advanced payroll issues.
  • CPA certification preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of ADP Run and ADP Workforce Now (WFN) preferred.
  • Prior project management and client management experience preferred but not required.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
