Senior Patient Scheduler
About the role
The Senior Patient Scheduler at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR works a full‑time day shift with a hybrid schedule (Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑5 pm). The role schedules complex imaging and medical procedures (Interventional, Nuclear Medicine, Anesthesia, Short Stay, Admitting) by gathering exam information, specialized equipment/resources, implant details, and current/historical medical data (ICD coding, medical history, allergies, patient demographics). The scheduler uses intermediate and complex medical terminology and precise scheduling protocols to ensure compliance, works in a fast‑paced, high‑call‑volume environment, and manages physician orders while utilizing multiple computer applications (HIS/RIS, scheduling software, network drives, reporting systems, PACS) across departments and entities such as the Short Stay Unit and joint ventures.
