SportsMed Physical Therapy is a leading outpatient sports-medicine and orthopedic practice in Northern New Jersey. As a Patient Coordinator, you will be integral in helping us achieve our mission and will have significant growth opportunities within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors in person or by telephone, and answer or refer inquiries.
- Optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment-room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
- Complete insurance verifications and authorizations.
- Ensure availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
- Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding provider of service delays.
- Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Obtain revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients; filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.
- Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Pay
$20.00 – $24.00 per hour, based on experience and added value.
