About the Role
Responsible for coordinating patient safety event management, collaborating with hospital leadership to facilitate peer review processes, analyze serious patient concerns, adverse events, and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Identify trends through data collection to enhance clinical quality systems.
- Participate in adverse event analysis and follow-up with regulatory agencies.
- Maintain confidentiality of peer review and risk management information.
- Recommend corrective actions and collaborate on interventions with improvement teams.
- Contribute to educational initiatives on current research and trends.
- Develop and review hospital policies, support safety initiatives, and address barriers to improvement.
- Promote a culture of safety, transparency, and high reliability across departments.
- Provide training on safety data and trends to foster continuous improvement.
- Complete HRO (High Reliability Organization) training and integrate principles into safety oversight.
- Assist in preparing presentations for committees and mentor safety team members.
- Participate in onboarding, training, and other related duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- 3-5 years of healthcare experience, clinical background preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
