Senior Patient Registrar - OB/GYN Services - Queens Medical Group As a Senior Patient Registrar, you’ll play a vital role in creating a seamless and supportive experience for our patients. In This Role, You’ll Be Responsible For Registering patients and scheduling appointments and proceduresAnswers and directs incoming callsGathering demographic and insurance informationObtaining pre-certifications and authorizationsEnsuring complete patient checkout, and follow up on physician's ordersProviding guidance and support to fellow administrative staffServing as a calm, reassuring presence for patients navigating their care journey This is a full-time, Monday through Friday day-shift position with varying hours between 8:00AM and 6:00PM. Possible Saturday coverage may be required in the near future. The role is based in Forest Hills and may need to travel to other locations within NYP Queens Medical Group. Preferred Criteria Completed some college coursework and are familiar with health insurance requirements.Experience working in a busy medical practice. Required Criteria High School Diploma or GEDMinimum of 3 years of clerical experienceProficient in computer skillsExcellent customer service and communication skills.
