Senior Partnerships Counsel
Role Summary
As Senior Counsel, you will be a trusted in-house legal partner. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced commercial transactions and go-to-market leader to practice their craft in furtherance of McAfee’s noble cause to protect the digital lives of all consumers. This role focuses on the drafting and negotiation of key partnership and go-to-market agreements. This is a Hybrid position located at one of our Hub locations (Frisco, TX, New York, NY, San Jose, CA, Newport Beach, CA). We value in-office collaboration and meaningful interactions, so expect that you will be able to be in the office on a regular basis according to team needs. When you are not working on-site, you will be working from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to one of the Hub locations and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.
About The Role
- Serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders on partnership structures, revenue opportunities, new business initiatives, and legal risk management.
- Responsible for the drafting and negotiation of key strategic commercial, distribution, partnership, and similar arrangements, and negotiating resolutions to contract disputes.
- Deliver practical contract guidance to the partnerships, sales, and finance teams.
- Charged with simplifying complex legal issues, identifying associated business implications, and effectively communicating the same to enable clients to make informed decisions with appreciation of complex nuances in legal guidance.
- Identify relevant issues warranting consultation with internal or external subject matter experts, including tax, intellectual property, data privacy and cybersecurity matters, and effectively collaborate with those subject matter experts to drive business objectives.
- Own updates to our customer-facing policies, like our EULA, and advise our customer service organization on responding to customer issues.
- Support the development and refinement of contract templates, playbooks, and scalable legal processes to improve efficiency and consistency.

About You
- Licensed to practice law; your background includes 7+ years with significant commercial negotiation responsibilities at a reputable law firm and/or in-house.
- Your background includes a strong foundation in commercial law, including drafting, negotiating, counseling and problem-solving a broad range of commercial transactions such as strategic partnerships, distribution agreements, MSAs, and licensing agreements.
- You confidently deliver clear, practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
- You work well managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Pay Range
The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $149,610.00/Yr. - USD $245,790.00/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications.
