About the role
Xometry is seeking a Paralegal to provide legal support focusing on corporate governance and global subsidiary management. The role will also assist in establishing, maintaining, and updating legal and regulatory compliance programs.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the preparation and filing of annual reports and foreign qualifications for Xometry and its subsidiaries in multiple US states
- Managing or assisting with domestic subsidiary matters, including formation, dissolution, conversion, drafting of governance documents, and maintenance of minute books
- Working with cross-functional business leaders to assess their needs in alignment with Xometry’s compliance requirements
- Drafting policies for legal and regulatory compliance topics, aligning with Xometry’s Code of Conduct and other policies; update and maintain policies to remain compliant in jurisdictions where Xometry does business
- Monitoring and auditing compliance-related activities to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations, and supporting compliance-related investigations
- Supporting Privacy, Export / Import, AI and all other compliance teams and functions
- Performing legal research
- Electronically maintaining and organizing corporate files and documents
- Performing administrative duties in support of the legal team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- At least 5-7+ years of paralegal or compliance experience, with at least 3 years in a corporate environment
- At least 2-4+ years experience in corporate compliance (privacy, export controls, risk, audit, etc)
- Experience leveraging AI-driven tools to streamline legal operations, automate routine tasks, and enhance the efficiency of compliance workflows, with a demonstrated ability to utilize AI technology to support legal research
- Excellent research, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Dependable, reliable and a strong work ethic
- In-house, public company experience a plus
- Comfortable using online search tools, databases and portals
- To work with employees at all levels of company organization structure including executives and board members
- Strong experience redlining changes to documents using Word and Adobe
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Adobe, DocuSign
Qualifications
- Professional certifications in compliance including the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Project Management Professional (PMP); Paralegal certificate
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with compliance software and systems
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards
Benefits
The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $96,000-107,000 annually depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
