Senior Paralegal - Compliance
About the role
The Senior Paralegal supports the Legal/Compliance team's leadership by executing a range of legal and legal support functions, such as conducting legal research and drafting written communications.
Responsibilities
- Researching and analyzing law sources such as statutes, regulations, judicial decisions, and legal articles related to servicing
- Preparing written correspondence with outside counsel and other third-parties
- Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Editing legal documents for accuracy
- Reviewing, monitoring and responding to regulatory requests
- Assisting with Legal/Compliance trainings
- Assisting with issues related to MERS, servicing, title claims and other title related issues
- Performing clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, providing information to callers, and composing and typing routine correspondence
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or a Paralegal certificate and a minimum of four years of previous experience in a legal support environment, either in a corporate or law firm setting.
- Experience performing legal research.

- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously effectively.
