Responsibilities
- Maintain and oversee licensing requirements for internal F&I associates and dealerships, including tracking license status, renewals, required documentation, and compliance with applicable state requirements.
- Apply product compliance knowledge to support the review, development, and ongoing administration of insurance products, service contracts, and related program offerings.
- Leverage insurance and regulatory compliance background to identify compliance risks, recommend practical solutions, and support adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Support customer complaint handling by reviewing complaints for regulatory or compliance implications, coordinating responses with internal counsel, and communicating with customers, their attorneys and regulators.
- Maintain organized contract management processes, including tracking contract status, key obligations, renewal dates, required approvals, and related compliance documentation.
- Manage all regulatory aspects of a P&C insurance company and Service Contract Administrator licensing.
- Monitor changes in state regulations and update policies accordingly.
- Coincide with internal departments to ensure compliance with state regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with state regulatory agencies to address any issues or inquiries related to policies.
- Oversee regulatory audits and requests for documentation/reporting.
- Conduct regular audits of policy documents to ensure ongoing compliance with state regulations.
- Work with outside counsel to oversee trademark submissions and renewals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal and regulatory compliance, preferably with a focus on P&C contractual liability insurance.
- In-depth knowledge of state regulatory requirements for insurance policies and F&I products.
- Experience implementing contract lifecycle management a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with regulatory compliance software and databases preferred.
