Senior Operations Manager, Field Operations

About the role
The Senior Manager of Field Operations will coordinate and oversee the daily operational logistics, on-site execution, and team workflows for College Sports. This hands-on leadership role focuses on implementing operational procedures, supervising field staff, and facilitating direct coordination between internal departments, external vendors, and event stakeholders. The Operations Manager will manage day-to-day event logistics to ensure seamless execution and maximize operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for end-to-end operations, logistics, and execution of College Sports properties and other assigned events, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and production priorities
- Lead end-to-end operations and logistics for College properties and any other assigned events
- Create season plans including facility scheduling, manpower allocation, and vendor coordination
- Create and manage crew grids for all events
- Liaise with Field Technical and Operations Managers during the event to support their needs
- Work with production and coordinating producer for all sports assigned
- Be involved in the budget process for all sports assigned
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, schools, conferences, venues, and key external stakeholders to support operational success and strategic business objectives
- Manage operational documentation for Field Operations team
- Develop, execute, and refine workflows for each sport assigned
- Execute projects in a timely, open, and service-oriented manner
- Travel approximately 20–50% throughout the year to support key events, stakeholder engagement, and operational oversight
Requirements
- Proficient in spreadsheet, writing, and presentation programs like MS Office and Google Suite and online collaboration tools like Quip, Smartsheet, Playbook, and Slack
- Ability to manage time-sensitive communications throughout large and regionally diverse groups at all hours
- Ability to adapt to constant changes, environments, and teams
- Willing to manage and work multiple complex broadcast events simultaneously in an ever-changing environment
- Multi-customer focus with an ability to decipher technical and operational goals quickly and execute goals quickly
- Reliable, constantly available, and willing to execute tasks and support the team
Pay
The pay rate/range for this role is $114,000.00–133,000.00 annually for high-cost labor markets such as New York City and Los Angeles, and $95,000.00–110,800.00 annually for all other US locations.
