About the Role

As a Senior Oncology Specialist, you will act as the primary customer contact, providing clinical knowledge of Amgen’s products to medical professionals. This role covers the territory of Jackson, Memphis, Tupelo, and Starkville, MS, and the ideal candidate should live in the Memphis, TN area. Relocation is not offered for this position.

Responsibilities
- Act as the primary customer contact, delivering clinical and economic benefits of Amgen’s products to medical professionals.
- Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, including delivering branded sales messages, executing programs, and achieving sales targets.
- Service and manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to drive sales.
- Analyze business effectiveness, conduct territory analysis, and collaborate with your District Manager on territory plans.
- Sustain passion for Amgen’s products throughout the sales cycle while building the brand and serving patients.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and maintain continuous learning.
- Leverage your Oncology expertise and awareness of industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (non-sales), OR
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (non-sales), OR
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (non-sales).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Oncology.
- Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries.
- Product or hospital sales experience in Oncology, Nephrology, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Inflammation, Neurology, Endocrinology, Hepatology, Gastroenterology, or Infectious Diseases.
- Local market knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Adaptability in core competencies: Planning and Organizing, Leveraging Business/Industry/Technical Knowledge, Communicating with Impact, Driving for Results, and Cultivating Internal/External Relationships.
Pay
The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $140,465 to $190,041. Actual salary will vary based on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
