Senior Nursing Assistant

Description of Duties

• Performs a variety of direct and indirect services for chronically ill and convalescent patients.
• Responsible for the training and mentoring of Nursing Assistant and Unit Aide staff in a unit.
• Reports directly to, and works under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse or other higher-level staff member.
• Serves as a role model for the nursing team and demonstrates a commitment to quality patient care.
• Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this position.
• Performs related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma.
• One (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalency experience in patient care in a hospital or long term care setting.
