As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead a team of Care Assistants delivering high-quality, personal care to our residents, while inspiring, developing, and nurturing them to be their best every day. We’ll train you on all aspects of our new digital care system, transforming how we work and allowing you to focus on clinical excellence and resident care. With over 75 years of healthcare expertise, we’re committed to continually training you in the latest clinical and social care developments.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit
- Issuing medication, reviewing care plans, and accurate record keeping
- Leading and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for all shift handovers
- Helping with training and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported
- Building relationships with residents, their families, and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
- Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties
Requirements
- Completed or working towards an NVQ3 in care (we will support you in completing this qualification if needed)
- Previous experience in a similar role and knowledge of its rewards and challenges
- Motivated, positive attitude with great interpersonal skills
- Passion for making a real difference to people’s lives, providing kindness, personalised support, and dignity
- Clinical expertise to help with CQC responsibilities
Pay
Up to £14.51 per hour
