Responsibilities
- Oversees staff performance, manages staffing, hiring, orientation, and discipline
- Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment
- Manages budgets and resources, maintains appropriate staffing, and understands healthcare finance
- Leads and supports performance and quality improvement initiatives, implements evidence-based practice changes, and ensures compliance with professional standards and hospital policies
- Utilizes critical thinking and technology in decision-making, problem-solving, and integrating new systems to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Provides strong leadership and mentorship, ensures high-quality clinical care, supports staff development, and maintains clear communication and planning for patient care delivery
- Encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and maintains positive relationships with patients, staff, vendors, and other departments to ensure patient-centered care
Requirements
- Demonstrates Human Resource Management competencies
- Demonstrates Financial Management competencies
- Demonstrates the ability to lead Performance Improvement initiatives on their assigned unit
- Demonstrates the ability to Think Critically and Utilize Technology in relation to the operations of the unit and delivery of patient care
- Demonstrates Leadership and Clinical Practice Knowledge
- Demonstrates good Communication and Relationship Building skills
- Acts as a role model for Professionalism on their assigned unit of employment
- Education: Bachelor's of Nursing [Required], Master's of Nursing [Preferred]
- Field Of Study: N/A
- Work Experience: 2+ acute care clinical experience [Required]
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

- Strong organization skills [Required]
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills [Required]
- Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms to all levels of staff [Required]
- Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel [Required]
