Responsibilities

The role as a Product Transition Technician is focused on implementing tactics designed to establish new product lines. Product Transition personnel are a critical means of collaboration between Product Development and Operations; and are members of each integrated product team.

• Conduct engineering tests and lean six sigma analyses, design fixtures and processes, and build/evaluate prototypes
• Troubleshoot product, process and equipment issues, performing fault isolation, and working with complex machines or computer‑controlled systems
• Assemble, adjust, repair, calibrate, and operate equipment using layout plans, blueprints, sketches, and technical manuals
• Meticulous documentation is essential, recording process steps, results, findings, and communicate effectively with engineering staff, design leads, and facility personnel

Requirements

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of related hands‑on technical experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Effective interpersonal skills (team player) and trainer
• Soldering Certified or ability to certify
• Electronics experience
• Ability to comply with OSHA, EPA, fire regulations, and company policies
• Computer literacy, MS Office

Preferred Qualifications

• CAD experience, Windchill, Cadence
• Vacuum technologies and semiconductor processing
• Clean room operations
• Night Vision goggle assembly and test; optics skills
• Familiarity with use of low power microscopes
• MIL-STD familiarity
• Mechanically and electrically capable
• Able to use hand tools, precision gauges and test equipment
• Lean Six Sigma certification: Green Belt or higher
