Senior Noise & Vibration Consultant - Hybrid or Remote

The position can be located at any of our offices in Cambridge, MA, Philadelphia, PA, Fairfax, Virginia or Los Angeles, CA, or staff locations in Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, Charlottesville, VA or Huntsville, AL, but other remote locations will also be considered. Responsibilities
- Conduct measurements, modeling, and prepare technical reports.
- Represent Acentech at client meetings.
- Support public outreach efforts to communicate study findings.
Requirements
- Experience working in environmental noise.
- Degree in engineering or science, with coursework or specialization in vibration and/or acoustics, or equivalent experience.
- Consulting and project management experience.
- Familiarity with vibration or acoustics measurement instrumentation and related data processing, analysis and modeling.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills and self-motivation. Ability to work both in teams and on your own on multiple, simultaneous projects.
- Familiarity working within project budgets and timelines.
- Passion for their work and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with modeling software (such as CadnaA) a plus.
- Willingness to travel and conduct field work (sometimes on nights and weekends).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or science.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Experience with vibration or acoustics measurement instrumentation and related data processing, analysis, and modeling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with project budgeting and timeline management.
- Demonstrated passion for the field and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in modeling software such as CadnaA is a plus.
- Willingness to travel and conduct field work.
