Senior Network Technician
Responsibilities
- Proactively manages assigned Entity physical network components.
- Escalates appropriately to manager when a problem or issue reaches a critical state as well escalates to manager when additional support is needed in order to resolve an issue.
- Participates in the Core Infrastructure meetings and is up to date on all communications from Core Infrastructure team to understand technology direction and adherence to technology standards.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma/GED is required.
- 4+ years of experience in data, voice or video networks is required.
- 1+ years of experience working with multiple technical platforms (e.g. mainframe, two-tiered client-server, three-tiered client-server) and at least two network systems (e.g. Cisco, Nortel) is required.
- 1+ years of experience working with network systems, networking principles is required.
- 1+ years of experience working with network software and hardware is required.
- 1+ years of experience working with proprietary software and hardware is required.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Healthcare environment experience is preferred.
