About the role

The Senior Network Systems Analyst (NSA) leads a team in administering and architecting the virtual and physical data storage, processing, identity, and Microsoft 365 infrastructure for all county departments and programs. This position consists of approximately 60% technical expertise, hands-on operational and tactical leadership, and project management work, and 40% strategic prioritization, coordination, and staff supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and architect the virtual and physical data storage, processing, identity, and Microsoft 365 infrastructure for all county departments and programs.
  • Implement and maintain systems across multiple locations, supporting primary and backup data centers, and cloud-based environments.
  • Collaborate and partner with members of other technical areas such as Applications, Desktop, Network, and Security to plan and execute projects and maintenance.
  • Provide coordination and prioritization for the team, and plan continuous improvement in the area of responsibility.
  • Provide recommendations for future upgrades and replacement needs to maintain a supportable and secure infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Completion of two years of college level work in computer science or a closely related field, including course work in techniques of systems analysis.
  • Journey level experience performing network user support at a level equivalent to Nevada County’s classification of Network System Analyst II.

Pay

$Competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Flexible and telework schedules are subject to operational needs and approval by the department head. Employees approved for telework are expected to reside within approximately two hours of their assigned office location and may work remotely up to four days per week, as determined by departmental guidelines.
