About the role

ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Network Engineering Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and design, document, install, implement, test, perform problem isolation, and resolve network errors.
  • Install data and voice cables for business cable television and router/switched systems; assess and upgrade existing cable television and internet systems.
  • Provide Tier III engineering support to a globally distributed services team in geographically dispersed customer locations.
  • Work flexible hours, staying until the mission is restored.
  • Conduct site surveys and prepare configuration documentation for computers, networking devices, and peripheral equipment impacted by the cable plant.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, including customers, team partners, and staff.
  • Travel ~10-20% in support of service requirements, including both CONUS and OCONUS locations (no hostile areas).
  • Execute Tier 3 LAN and WAN support across multiple domains and locations using standard enterprise tools.
  • Track, analyze, and monitor technology performance metrics and network modernization efforts.
  • Provide subject matter guidance to the team, associates, colleagues, and customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of experience (2 years of experience may be substituted for education).
  • Current 8570 compliance Level II certification such as Sec+ CE or CCNA.
  • Experience with Cisco, LAN, WAN, and voice networks.
  • Experience with routers, switches, and crypto devices.
  • Working knowledge of cyber infrastructure, networking protocols, and TCP/IP.
  • Current/active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with customer ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
  • Experience in a technical role with understanding of IT equipment lifecycle, planning, and implementation of equipment replacement.
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise IT contracts.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to handle cable of varying lengths, widths, and weights, including associated equipment.
  • Must remain in a stationary position 50% of the time; occasional movement within the office for collaboration, presentations, and use of standard office equipment.
  • Able to lift at least 30 pounds.
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
