About the Role
Robert Half is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to lead the design, planning, security, and ongoing operations of a multi-site, enterprise network environment across North America. This role will play a key part in driving network strategy, implementing scalable solutions, and ensuring high availability and security across all systems.
Responsibilities
- Own the design, implementation, and management of enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations
- Develop and propose a strategic roadmap for adopting new network technologies
- Maintain and enhance network security, including internal and perimeter protections
- Perform real-time network monitoring and respond to security threats, malware, and intrusion attempts
- Ensure high availability and reliability through proactive monitoring, redundancy, and fault tolerance planning
- Conduct traffic and capacity analysis to optimize network performance
- Manage and support LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, SAN, and internet services across all sites
- Administer and troubleshoot Fortinet environments (FortiGate, FortiOS, VPN, wireless)
- Manage remote access solutions, including site-to-site VPNs and RADIUS
- Partner with infrastructure teams on endpoint security and network configurations
- Maintain relationships with vendors and service providers, driving issues through resolution
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including network design and processes
- Research and recommend emerging technologies to improve performance and security
- Provide escalation support to Desktop Support and other IT teams
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support as needed
Requirements
- Strong experience managing enterprise, multi-site network environments
- Hands-on expertise with Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, FortiOS, VPN, wireless)
- Deep understanding of network security, intrusion detection, and threat response
- Experience with SD-WAN, routing/switching, and network optimization
- Familiarity with RADIUS, VPN technologies, and remote access solutions
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable network architectures
- Strong troubleshooting skills across network, security, and connectivity issues
- Experience working with vendors and managing service providers
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution
- Strong documentation and communication skills

Pay
$45-$50/hourly (W2)
Schedule
