About the Role

Robert Half is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to lead the design, planning, security, and ongoing operations of a multi-site, enterprise network environment across North America. This role will play a key part in driving network strategy, implementing scalable solutions, and ensuring high availability and security across all systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design, implementation, and management of enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations
  • Develop and propose a strategic roadmap for adopting new network technologies
  • Maintain and enhance network security, including internal and perimeter protections
  • Perform real-time network monitoring and respond to security threats, malware, and intrusion attempts
  • Ensure high availability and reliability through proactive monitoring, redundancy, and fault tolerance planning
  • Conduct traffic and capacity analysis to optimize network performance
  • Manage and support LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, SAN, and internet services across all sites
  • Administer and troubleshoot Fortinet environments (FortiGate, FortiOS, VPN, wireless)
  • Manage remote access solutions, including site-to-site VPNs and RADIUS
  • Partner with infrastructure teams on endpoint security and network configurations
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and service providers, driving issues through resolution
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including network design and processes
  • Research and recommend emerging technologies to improve performance and security
  • Provide escalation support to Desktop Support and other IT teams
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support as needed

Requirements

  • Strong experience managing enterprise, multi-site network environments
  • Hands-on expertise with Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, FortiOS, VPN, wireless)
  • Deep understanding of network security, intrusion detection, and threat response
  • Experience with SD-WAN, routing/switching, and network optimization
  • Familiarity with RADIUS, VPN technologies, and remote access solutions
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable network architectures
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across network, security, and connectivity issues
  • Experience working with vendors and managing service providers
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution
  • Strong documentation and communication skills

Pay

$45-$50/hourly (W2)

Schedule

Long-term contract; hybrid in Seattle, Washington or Portland, Oregon. On-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support as needed.
