About the role
The Senior MRI Technologist role is critical in maintaining the high level of care our patients expect, as department volume continues to increase. This individual will assist the lone radiology supervisor during evening, overnight, and weekend shifts with patient workflow for the MRI department. In addition to performing MRI examinations, the Senior Technologist will manage workflow, ensure adequate staffing, and assist the day MRI supervisor with image quality and protocols. They will also train evening and overnight staff on new equipment and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist the radiology supervisor during evening, overnight, and weekend shifts with patient workflow for the MRI department.
- Perform MRI examinations.
- Manage workflow and ensure adequate staffing.
- Aid the day MRI supervisor with image quality and protocols.
- Train evening and overnight staff on new equipment and procedures.
Requirements
- New York State License in Radiologic Technology
- Experience working in an inpatient hospital setting
- Experience working with GE equipment
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiology
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Three years experience as a technologist, and at least two years as a MRI technologist
Qualifications
This is a full time flex position working Sundays-Wednesdays from 11:00am-9:00pm.
