Senior Mortgage Loan Officer

About the role

Assist members in the full real estate loan process, from initial assessment to loan closing, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining effective communication with members and third-party partners.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals by following up on pre-approvals, assisting with loan applications, and providing product recommendations.
• Obtain and review supporting documentation, explain requirements, and manage the loan process to meet timelines while delivering high member service.
• Initiate outbound calls, engage with members in seminars, and build relationships with Realtors and title companies.
• Lock rates and mentor team members on real estate loan processes.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; must meet NMLS requirements.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience or training in lending; knowledge of state and federal regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Understanding of financial statements, credit reports, title reports, insurance, and secondary market guidelines.
