Senior Modeling and Simulation Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in assessing the capabilities of the Missile Defense System (MDS).

Responsibilities

• Work in a distributed Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation environment.
• Contribute to MDA Ground Test (GT) events, Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI) activities, and MDA Flight Test (FT) support.
• Analyze the Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) and deliver analytical support to MDA’s distributed software threat simulation.
• Perform M&S framework analysis support for GT events, CDI activities, and Flight Test support.
• Verify the OSF and element configuration settings based on HWIL run data and documentation.
• Analyze the integration of current and future software capabilities into OSF.
• Ensure event data quality and integrity through verification and validation analysis of test data.
• Develop and run Python tools to support M&S analysis activities.
• Document and communicate analysis results across interdisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with a team of analysts and engineers to ensure the successful execution of test simulation campaigns.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science from an accredited university.
• 10+ years’ relevant experience.
• Secret security clearance.
• Knowledge of the HWIL architecture infrastructure, including truth presentation utilizing Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) adapter, and/or Ground Test Integrated System Simulation (GTISS) adapter.
• Familiarity with data analysis libraries in Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
• Familiarity with Network Systems Integration and Test Environment (NSITE).
• Familiarity with MDA Ground Test CONOPS.
