Modeling and Simulation Analyst, Senior

This role supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in assessing the capabilities of the Missile Defense System (MDS) within a distributed Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide M&S framework analysis support for Ground Test (GT) events, Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI) activities, and Flight Test support.
- Perform verification of Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) and element configuration settings based on HWIL run data and documentation.
- Analyze the integration of current and future software capabilities into OSF.
- Ensure event data quality and integrity through verification and validation analysis of test data.
- Develop and run Python tools to support M&S analysis activities.
- Document and communicate analysis results across interdisciplinary teams.
- Collaborate with a team of analysts and engineers to ensure the successful execution of test simulation campaigns.
- Knowledge of HWIL architecture infrastructure, including truth presentation utilizing Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) adapter and/or Ground Test Integrated System Simulation (GTISS) adapter.
- Familiarity with data analysis libraries in Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- 10+ years of demonstrated relevant experience in Modeling and Simulation frameworks.
- Expertise in Missile Defense data analysis, including trajectory, RF/EOIR signatures, environmental effects, or tactical communications.
- Familiarity with Python scripting language and Linux.
- Ability to clearly express ideas/concepts, work in a team, and operate in a multi-tasking environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, Prime Contractor, and Supporting Contractor personnel.
- Ability to present and explain analytical information to varied audiences.
- Familiarity with Network Systems Integration and Test Environment (NSITE) and MDA Ground Test CONOPS.
- U.S. Citizenship with an Active TS/Secret Security clearance and ability to maintain the required clearance.

- May work in a specialized laboratory/testing environment using complex systems and protective equipment (PPE).
