About the role

The Metro San Diego studio and creator of some of the leading iGames in the world, including a recent EGR Game of the Year finalist, is hiring a Senior Mobile Game Animator.

Responsibilities

  • Takes input from the illustration team, animates, and delivers to development, working closely with both communities to build efficient animations to work inside mobile games.
  • Create various game mockups, particles, animations, and visual effects for the game.
  • Assist creatives in drawing game elements.
  • Build out optimized game-ready assets from concepts.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure concepts are achievable.
  • Provide accurate time estimations for project schedules.
  • Bridge between illustration and development, often working on multiple projects across multiple teams.

Requirements

  • Highly proficient in Adobe After Effects.
  • Experienced in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Spine or rigging experience.
  • Optimizing files for production.
  • 2D art production.

Qualifications

  • Desired Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design / Game Art & Design / Game Development.
  • Minimum 5+ years of work experience commensurate with job level, ranging from Junior 0-2 yrs to Mid 3-10 yrs to Snr 5+ yrs.
  • Experience in Gaming, Design, Marketing, Advertising, Publishing, or Animation field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently.
  • Ability to learn new programs/processes quickly.
  • Ability to take input and make changes in a timely manner.

Location

This role is based in San Marcos, CA. It is in-office 5 days per week. Relocation expenses are paid.
