Senior Merchandising Planner - Remote

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Merchandising Planner to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. This role will own sales forecasting, inventory planning, and Open-to-Buy management across multiple product categories in a fast-paced retail environment. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to align inventory with promotional plans, direct-to-consumer activity, and dropship opportunities. The position is highly analytical and operational, with a strong focus on turning sales trends into actionable ordering and reporting decisions. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $100,000 – $110,000 annually Responsibilities Review daily sales and build sales forecasts across all categories to inform weekly order recommendations. Collaborate with Marketing, Public Relations, and Sales teams for promotional events to meet inventory needs. Manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) and provide weekly reporting to assess inventory versus sales projections. Coordinate cross-functionally with Sales, Licensing, and Public Relations for inventory transfers in direct-to-consumer channels. Partner with Sales and Licensing teams to synchronize orders and inventory levels for dropship opportunities. Submit and track orders, ensuring timely placement and status updates. Maintain clear and actionable inventory recap reports for the team. Qualifications 4-5 years of experience in Merchandise Planning in retail; multi-category experience preferred. Bachelor's Degree required. Strong analytical and retail math abilities. Advanced Excel skills needed. Attention to detail is critical. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a creative approach. Experience with Power BI and NetSuite is a plus.
