Senior MEP Project Manager II
Mortenson is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Project Manager II to lead Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) scopes on data center projects. This role involves managing project quality, timeliness, safety, and team mentorship while fostering strong customer relationships in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the overall financial health of data center projects, including developing and maintaining financial and equipment projections.
- Allocate project estimates into the financial system, determine cost codes, approve invoices, and manage budgets.
- Provide financials and billings to Accounting for timely payment and create monthly owner billings.
- Handle subcontracts and suppliers, including budget oversight, trade partner selection, and contract management (e.g., buyouts).
- Oversee the 3-D coordination process to resolve conflicts prior to installation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent field experience.
- Ability to manage complex projects from development to closeout with strong detail orientation.
- Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software, and web applications.
- Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies.
- Minimum ten years of construction management experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor.
- Minimum five years’ experience building data centers.
- Current driver’s license.

Pay
The base pay range for this role is $158,900 - $238,400. Actual pay may be higher for specific office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL (+5%), Seattle, WA and Portland, OR (+10%), Washington, D.C. (+12.5%). Base pay is determined by knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. This position is also eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
