About the role
The Laboratory Technical Specialist is responsible for daily operations, ensuring technical competency of the clinical, technical and scientific aspects and technical expertise of the laboratory. Provides accurate, timely and cost effective service to all laboratory customers.

- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the laboratory.
Requirements
- Completion of education and training equivalent to the requirements for a Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology program recognized by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP).
- Successful completion of an examination at the MT or CLS II level administered by an agency approved by the NCHAA, or equivalent.
- Coursework/Training Completion of education and training equivalent to the requirements for a Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology program recognized by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), and successful completion of an examination at the MT or CLS II level administered by an agency approved by the NCHAA, or equivalent.
- Upon hire: Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- Within 30 days of hire: Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- 5 years in the clinical laboratory, which includes one or more years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with Laboratory Information Systems.
Qualifications

Pay
The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
Schedule
Full time, 8-hr Variable shifts, 40 hours per week.
