Overview
Sentara BelleHarbour in Suffolk, VA is hiring an experienced Sr. Medical Laboratory Scientist to work full evenings (3p-1130pm). Generous Sign on Bonus up to $20,000 for qualified candidates!
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing and interpret test results using scientific knowledge and principles of test procedures and disease processes
- Recommend contingency testing
- Develop, maintain, and manage daily technical operations, including staff training and education
- Implement instrumentation and accreditation readiness
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in medical technology or Biology/Chemical Science
- ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification
- 3 years of laboratory experience (required)
- Chemistry (preferred)
