We're looking for an experienced, high-energy, HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team and help deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for our heavy industrial clients. You will work alongside our team of engineers and designers performing field investigations, interfacing with clients & vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages. You’ll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You’ll work with a multi-discipline, highly interactive team to establish to meet the needs of our clients. Your role keeps our company connected, and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful.

Responsibilities

  • Layout and design of HVAC systems.
  • Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting these systems, the development of Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.
  • Development of final construction documents associated with these systems. These systems would include chilled water, cooling water, etc.
  • Coordination with other disciplines.

Requirements

  • At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
  • Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Qualifications

  • Software experience in AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
  • Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $102,900.00 to $150,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
