This job opportunity is available at any location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S.-based office, but we intend to hire the best candidates.
Responsibilities
- Perform field investigations and interface with clients and vendors.
- Size and select HVAC equipment and prepare construction design packages.
- Be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks.
- Gain familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
- Work with a multi-discipline, highly interactive team to meet client needs.
- Layout and design HVAC systems.
- Develop conceptual and preliminary design documents, including calculations for sizing and selecting systems, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.
- Develop final construction documents for systems such as chilled water and cooling water.
- Coordinate with other disciplines.
Requirements
- At least ten (10) years of experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
- Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.
Qualifications
- Software experience in AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
- Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $102,900.00 to $150,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
