The Senior Mechanical Engineer at Hyper Solutions plays a critical role in designing and supporting mechanical components and enclosures for power distribution systems used in data center environments. This position contributes to the development of reliable, high-quality products that meet customer expectations while supporting a fast-paced and growing business. This role works closely with electrical engineering, manufacturing, and external partners to ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and aligned with project timelines. The Senior Mechanical Engineer also provides technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members while supporting multiple concurrent projects. This position is well-suited for an experienced engineer with strong CAD expertise, deep knowledge of mechanical design for electrical systems, and the ability to lead through both technical execution and collaboration. Core Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical components and enclosures for power distribution products using CAD toolsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support electrical system designs for data center infrastructure, including RPPs, power distribution, and related systemsCreate and maintain detailed drawings, models, and product documentationDevelop and manage bills of materials (BOMs) for products and assembliesSupport project timelines by delivering designs in accordance with deadlinesCollaborate with external partners, contractors, and vendors to support successful project executionEnsure product designs meet customer expectations, industry standards, and manufacturing requirementsMentor and support junior and mid-level Mechanical Engineers Additional Responsibilities Capture design updates and redlines and generate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)Support product quality and consistency through accurate documentation and revision controlContribute to continuous improvement of design processes, documentation, and product standardizationCoordinate with third-party manufacturing partners to support production and design alignmentSupport cross-functional collaboration across distributed teams and time zones Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering10+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experienceProficiency in SolidWorksWorking knowledge of applicable standards such as UL1062, UL891, and NECAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsStrong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with MRP/ERP systemsFamiliarity with AutoCADSolidWorks CertificationProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience with SolidWorks PDMExperience working with contract manufacturing or third-party production partnersDemonstrated experience leading or mentoring engineering team members What Success Looks Like Mechanical designs are accurate, manufacturable, and aligned with electrical and system requirementsProduct documentation, BOMs, and drawings are well-maintained and support efficient productionJunior engineers are effectively supported and developed through mentorshipStrong collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and external partners leads to smooth project executionDesign updates and changes are well-controlled and clearly communicatedProjects are delivered on time with high quality and minimal rework Why Hyper?
