About the role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in designing the critical infrastructure that supports the digital age and shapes the spaces where people work, connect, and thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Cook up the work of Mechanical Engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's development
  • Build strong client relationships and participate in the marketing, design, and production meetings regarding mechanical systems
  • Take charge of the mechanical lead on many projects
  • Join in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
  • Do schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect, and other disciplines
  • Divide the workload through the entire project development to finish documents on time
  • Track the financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust the work efforts with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the agreed-upon schedule
  • Participate in project reviews with corporate management as needed
  • Handle other duties as needed

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasis, Healthcare, Science and Technology, or Civic facilities experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • A minimum of 10 years in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, previous team coordination, and project management experience
  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications
