Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Location: Graniteville, SC, US. Seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical engineering and capital projects within a heavy industrial plant. Projects range from $50K to $5M, covering design, fabrication, FAT, commissioning, and startup.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital projects up to $5M from design through commissioning.
• Develop and manage drawings using AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor, and Vault.
• Lead machine FAT, startup, and commissioning activities.
• Create and manage BOMs and spare‑parts requirements.
• Perform equipment/project risk assessments and implement safety measures.
• Manage vendors and external contractors.
• Provide mechanical engineering support and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Capital project management experience up to $5M.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor 3D modeling and Autodesk Vault.
• Machine FAT and commissioning experience.
• Heavy industrial plant engineering background.
• BOM management experience.
• Equipment risk assessment experience.
• External contractor management experience.

Work Environment

Approximately 80% production floor; high‑temperature, high‑noise environment with heavy machinery.

Pay

Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 per year

Bonus: 10% target annually
