Senior Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities
- Lead full lifecycle execution of complex custom equipment projects.
- Own mechanical system design including advanced and integrated systems.
- Serve as primary technical point of contact for customers.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and technical risk.
- Drive cross-functional coordination across engineering, fabrication, controls, and service.
- Lead equipment testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning efforts.
- Establish and enforce engineering standards, documentation, and best practices.
- Contribute to product/platform standardization and continuous improvement.
- Lead multiple or high-complexity projects independently.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers.
- Drive technical decision-making and problem resolution.
- Interfaces with leadership on project status, risk, and resource planning.
- Contributes to sales support (concepting, estimating, technical proposals).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in OEM design, machine design, or equipment design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD Inventor.
- Experience in reading and generating prints.
- Previous project management experience.
Nice to Have
- Calculations capabilities to solve complex systems (structural loading, drive size, conveyance systems, etc.).
- Sizing water pumps, gear motors, and cylinders.
- Experience with standard fabrication methods.
- Hydraulic/pneumatic and/or light industrial electrical experience.
Pay & Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr. Benefits include 401K, medical, dental, and vision coverage.
