Senior Materials Specialist I
Position Summary
In this position, you will be responsible for performing and documenting daily materials operations in a cGMP environment. You will have a high level of detail, good documentation practices, and the ability to follow procedures as written. Through cross training and flexible workforce, you will become a subject matter expert in one or more functions within the materials management department, which may include, but are not limited to Shipping and Receiving, GMP Raw Materials, Inventory Control, and Cell Bank Storage.
Work Model
This role typically requires that the majority of the work be conducted on-site.
Responsibilities
- Performing daily GMP material receipts according to SOPS/WI and Materials Specifications.
- Prepare, pack, and ship cold chain samples and materials.
- Must be proficient in the use of the inventory management system (ERP) and execute real time transactions such as material transfers, PO receipts, and cycle counting.
- Perform material picking, kitting, and transfer into production utilizing aseptic techniques.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency material requests and critical equipment alarm response.
- Able to safely operate all motorized equipment including forklift truck, electric pallet jacks, lifts, and company vehicles.
- Always use PPE, ensure proper safety practices are in use, and identify any safety risks.
Requirements
- 2 - 5 Years of industry experience with a minimum of HS Diploma.
- Ability to operate forklift.
- Experienced in ERP transactions regarding cGMP raw materials, inventory control, and reporting.
- GMP experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to use a computer and knowledge of some Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Physical Demand
- Stand for extended periods of time with periodic stooping / bending / kneeling.
- Able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs.
- Climb ladders and stairs of various heights.
- Work in a controlled environment requiring GxP gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet, and body. This requires the ability to change clothes into appropriate gowning and personal protective equipment.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Working in temperature-controlled environments (cold rooms).
Pay Range
The typical annual salary range for this full-time position is $84,300 - $104,200 USD.
Benefits
This position is eligible for annual bonus and equity incentives. Actual individual pay is determined by demonstrated experience and internal equity alignment.
