Senior Materials Specialist

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Senior Material Specialist to support the Grand Prairie facility. The role involves coordinating logistical support for incoming materials and facilitating their movement to various Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) shops.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and induct items into MRO shops in a timely manner to support MRO-TAT.
• Record keeping and movement of materials.
• Coordinate with blade shop for weekly consolidation of export shipments.
• Provide customer support to both internal and external customers.
• Administer safety training as required.
• Conduct remedial training and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
• Maintain component logs and log for parts sent to DFW for repairables.
• Monitor workload and task distribution among Grand Prairie staff.
• Assign tasks and workload as needed to ensure daily requirements are met.
• Notify customers of concerns as they arise and recommend staff members for recognition or corrective action.

Requirements

• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in repairables field.
• Prior SAP experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma equivalent.

Skills

• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
