About the role
Provides warehouse services assigned through safe, efficient, cost effective and accurate handling of customer products and material using specially equipped trucks such as slips-sheet, clamps and reach.
Responsibilities
- Pulling Orders: Accurately locate and load, both by hand and using appropriate motorized equipment, customer product onto/from pallets, trays, racks and shelves according to established procedures and safety regulations.
- Operating & Maintenance - Equipment and Grounds: Assign / verify trailers to appropriate dock and/or yard location, trailers locked to dock-lock and/ or chocking the wheels, following all safety rules and Company policy.
- Loading & Unloading: Load picked orders or (pull & load) according to policies and procedures, completing appropriate paperwork including Bill of Lading, Pick Report, Trailer Audit and Lot Verification.
- Reports: Complete activity and statistical reports as assigned by supervisor.
- Miscellaneous: Provide other services such as sanitation requirement activities, assembling crates (boxes) to contain products, and/or moving loose materials to containers as directed by supervisor and/or team leader.
- Health, Safety and Environment: Follow basic mandatory work instructions to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
Requirements
- Forklift Certification
- Preferred two (2) years forklift/tow motor experience required
- Ability to operate forklift – both sit down and stand up, tow motor, motorized and non-motorized pallet jack; clamp, reach and slip sheet
- Knowledge of inventory control and general warehouse procedures
- Light data entry skills required
- Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures
- Ability to write legibly
- Basic math skills
- Attention to detail for continuous mental and visual attention
- Data entry skills
- Language skills - English
- Must be a Team Player
- Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner

Pay
The hourly wage for this position is $21.30.
