About the Opportunity
The Senior Marketing Analyst plays a critical role in driving strategic marketing intelligence and competitive insights. This position supports growth initiatives by informing go-to-market strategies, enhancing sales effectiveness, and strengthening the organization’s market positioning. The role transforms market, customer, and competitive data into actionable insights that guide decision-making across multiple departments, directly impacting the organization’s competitive performance and expansion into new markets.
Responsibilities
- Analyze competitors, market trends, customer needs, and industry dynamics to identify risks and opportunities
- Translate market insights into actionable recommendations for strategy and priorities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive view of the competitive landscape
- Create sales enablement tools such as battlecards and objection handling guides
- Monitor competitor activities and assess business implications
- Support market expansion efforts in new industries and segments
- Collaborate with product marketing to refine positioning and messaging
- Provide sales teams with competitive insights to improve deal outcomes
- Conduct win/loss analysis and apply findings to improve future results
- Support strategic deals involving critical competitive dynamics
- Deliver data-driven market intelligence to leadership
- Prioritize markets, segments, and investments based on evidence
- Lead planning and execution of trade shows, conferences, webinars, and events
- Manage marketing program logistics, vendor coordination, and budgeting
- Evaluate marketing campaign and event effectiveness
- Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders
- Mentor junior team members and improve processes
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- 5–10 years’ experience in competitive intelligence, product marketing, strategy, or related field
- Experience supporting complex B2B sales with multi-stakeholder deal cycles
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Focus on practical, results-oriented outcomes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel 20–30% for events and market engagement
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Strategy, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Preferred master’s degree in a related field
- Preferred industry experience in logistics, transportation, fleet operations, route planning, telematics, field service, or operations analytics
- Familiarity with utilities, public sector, waste & recycling, or last-mile delivery is a plus
Pay Range and Compensation Package
The typical base pay range at the start of employment is expected to be between $100,000 and $140,000 per year, varying by location and experience.
