About the role
We are seeking a full-time Senior Marketing Analyst in the Greater Denver area. In this role, you will gather, document, and communicate user requirements for large, highly complex projects across multiple strategic channels and disparate stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Serve as functional Product Owner, working with enterprise stakeholders to drive application/technology solutions and related business processes
- Work closely with cross-functional project teams and multiple stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and deliverables align with long-term enterprise objectives and project goals
- Partner with enterprise stakeholders to determine strategic channels roadmap
- Understand and communicate business impact of issues and how they relate to IT-owned solutions
- Manage development and documentation of requirements from multiple global Garmin Product Managers using use cases, scenarios, and complex business workflow analyses, including resolving conflicts
- Identify interdependencies between projects and overall business strategies, facilitating alignment to benefit Garmin
- Collaborate directly with co-located and remote development team members, business clients, and QA teams to define test cases and assist with testing efforts
- Manage acceptance testing by end users to ensure appropriate standards are met and successful deployment validation is completed
- Proactively identify and resolve ancillary discrepancies and conflicts between interdepartmental applications and strategic channels on an enterprise level
- Manage reconciliation and drive consensus regarding business tactical and strategic direction
- Actively implement continuous improvement for business processes and IT business analysis processes on an enterprise level
- Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for application/technology solutions and related business processes within the enterprise
- Make substantial contributions to determining feasibility of team or functional goals/objectives
- Provide reliable solutions to a wide range of difficult problems, including evaluating new technologies to improve existing functions
- Mentor less experienced Business Analysts (Business Analyst 1 & 2)
- Work with language services and country business units to ensure translations are correct
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business, or related field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
- Demonstrated mastery of business analysis principles and methodologies, with ability to apply and adapt them into requirements that meet business needs
- Demonstrated facilitation and leadership expertise
- Superior analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Understand the importance of change and consistently view change as opportunity
- Proficiency and in-depth understanding of internet technologies
- Extensive experience working within Agile project methodology
- Strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a cross-functional setting with business partners
- Participation in continuing business analysis education courses
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of competency
Qualifications
- Deep, hands-on experience with the Google Analytics suite, Customer Data Platforms, and Marketing Automation tools
- Proficiency in SQL to query and validate data
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, strategies, and best practices
- Proven success in taking ownership of complex, cross-functional technical projects from inception to completion
- Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM integrations
- Experience with Content Management Systems (WordPress, Skilljar)
- Experience with Email & Marketing Automation Systems (Iterable)
- Experience with AdTech & Social Platforms (AdRoll, App Store and Social Ad platforms, AdWords)
- Experience with Customer Data & Marketing Analytics through tools like Segment, Looker Studio, and customer databases
- Proficiency with R or Python for marketing analytics
- Certifications: PMI-PBA, CBAP, ScrumMaster
- Continuing education courses in business analysis
- Agile/Scrum methodology experience and/or training
- Knowledge and experience with bug tracking tools and project management tools
- Knowledge of conceptual web application architecture and human factors in UX design
- Experience with multivariate testing
- International communications experience
