About the role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Marketing Account Manager to serve as the primary liaison between our agency and a portfolio of businesses in Madison, WI. This role involves developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive measurable results, strengthen client relationships, and support long-term program success.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring exceptional service, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Develop, present, and optimize data-driven marketing strategies aligned to client goals and budgets.
  • Lead the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, programs, and communications.
  • Draft strategic and creative briefs and collaborate with creative, digital, and shared services teams.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Partner with program and business development teams to identify and pursue growth opportunities.
  • Manage budgets, project setup, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Lead campaign reviews and post-project debriefs to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing account management, client services, advertising, or communications.
  • Proven success leading integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Proficiency with marketing analytics platforms, CRM tools, and reporting dashboards.
  • Ability to budget, forecast, and track marketing spend and performance metrics.
  • Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple concurrent projects.

Preferred Technical Skills

  • Experience in energy efficiency, sustainability, or program-driven marketing environments.
  • Agency experience with multi-stakeholder accounts.
  • Advanced degree or marketing/communications certifications.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and demand generation frameworks.
  • Experience analyzing data to guide marketing strategy and client recommendations.

Compensation

Salary Range: $83,000–$90,000
Placement within the range is based on alignment with the needs of the position.
