The Opportunity
We're hiring a Senior Market Intelligence & Expansion Analyst to become AbbyCare's expert on policies, programs, and market dynamics that drive our growth. You'll research states, programs, and opportunities 6-12 months ahead of launch to support our expansion roadmap.
- Research state-level policies and Medicaid programs for target launch states
- Build and maintain a living state policy library
- Surface competitive signals and market shifts to leadership
- Source and qualify potential acquisition partners
- Prepare and submit Medicaid applications
- Deliver structured launch readiness assessments
What You’ll Work On
Policy & Program Research:
- Research state-level policies and Medicaid programs for target launch states, 6-12 months ahead of launch
- Support the expansion roadmap
- Build and maintain a living state policy library
- Stay current on policy changes and surface relevant information
Creative & Market Intelligence Research:
- Monitor competitors' activities and positions
- Track broader market trends
- Inform AbbyCare's strategic decisions
Acquisition & Partnership Sourcing:
- Source and qualify potential acquisition partners
- Maintain a documented pipeline of opportunities
- Assess the fit and rationale for each opportunity
Leverage & Enablement:
- Prepare and submit Medicaid applications
- Deliver structured launch readiness assessments
- Flag policy gaps and regulatory risks early
Experience
- 5+ years in research-intensive roles
- Policy research, market intelligence, healthcare/Medicaid analysis, strategy, corporate development, or similar
- Ability to become a deep subject-matter expert in complex, regulated domains
- Experience building and maintaining knowledge assets (libraries, trackers, databases)
Skills
- Exceptional research and analytical thinking

- Ability to translate dense policy and regulatory detail into clear, actionable implications
- Familiarity with Medicaid, state healthcare programs, or regulated healthcare markets
