We are seeking a Senior Marine Structural Engineer to join our team in Seattle. In this role, you will collaborate with a global team of experts and work closely with your Technical Director and Project Managers to deliver critical marine infrastructure projects across North America. You will be part of COWI North America’s Marine Practice, a team of approximately 60 experienced marine professionals located across the U.S. and Canada, and supported by a global organization of more than 7,500 employees worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks on projects requiring a broad and deep knowledge in the field of structural engineering and marine infrastructure
  • Perform structural analysis and design including reinforced and pre-stressed concrete design, steel design, deep foundations, earth retaining structures, etc.
  • Implement design best practices to ensure conformance with all applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
  • Prepare and review calculations for analysis along with preparing engineering reports and memoranda
  • Prepare construction drawings and other documents, such as technical specifications
  • Perform construction administration activities along with performing site inspections and other tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Hold an M.S. or higher degree in Structural Engineering, along with a minimum of (10) years of experience working in a professional setting as a structural engineer. The experience should include at least one of: marine infrastructure, coastal engineering, bridges, tunnels, or other heavy civils.
  • Hold Professional Engineer license.
  • Have the ability and willingness to travel and to perform required fieldwork;
  • Exhibit effective communication abilities in both writing and speaking, while also being adept at building relationships.

Pay

Base compensation: $103,200 to $159,600 for Seattle location. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, skill set and/or location.
