About the Role

Anduril’s Manufacturing team is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the EW Manufacturing Team, responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware for Electromagnetic Warfare. This role encompasses the entire manufacturing value-chain, including Design for Manufacturability (DFM), tool design and selection, process creation and optimization, vendor sourcing and interaction, quality planning, and work documentation for owned hardware.

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer within EW, you will drive process improvements, ensure high-quality production, and support the development and implementation of new products. You will optimize manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiencies while scaling to full-scale production.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain, including Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T) for electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Contribute to operational excellence with a continuous improvement mindset and lead impactful Kaizen events.
  • Partner with Product Quality Engineering to drive and support Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) burndowns addressing key issues internally and externally to EW Production.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering teams in early to late phases of development to provide DFx (Design for Excellence) for smooth New Product Introduction (NPI) transitions.
  • Develop process flows, breaking down complex assemblies into logical subassemblies and sub-processes.
  • Write documentation required for manufacturing hardware at scale, such as work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements.
  • Work with contract manufacturers across disciplines (PCBA fab, metallic manufacturing, assembly, etc.) to develop repeatable, sustained processes for quick-turn development and at-scale production.
  • Work hands-on with technicians and engineers to build prototype hardware.
  • Contribute to end-customer hardware mechanical or electrical design, including interconnects, board fabrication, and inspection.

Requirements

  • Degree in a technical field preferred (e.g., engineering, math, or a hard science).
  • 8+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware.
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment.
  • Personal experience physically manufacturing hardware (e.g., machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly). Work on personal or extracurricular projects is a plus.
  • Prior experience with JIRA, Siemens NX, Teamcenter (PLM), or Oracle (ERP) or equivalents.
  • A genuine interest in manufacturing and a thirst for learning.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RF Products requiring system AI&T (Assembly, Integration, and Test).
  • Exposure to or interest in scaling product testing and production.
  • Hands-on experience with software & firmware flashing or end-of-line testing and troubleshooting.
  • Software scripting experience in any language.
  • Current active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Pay

US Salary Range: $146,000—$194,000 USD. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers as part of Anduril’s total compensation package.
