About the role

Lead and drive manufacturing process development and continuous improvement initiatives across production operations. Design, develop, implement, and enhance tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing solutions used for assembly, inspection, testing, and handling of precision hardware. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and hands-on training to production teams and supervisors. Develop strategic process improvement plans focused on quality, cost optimization, and delivery performance. Partner with engineering, quality, supply chain, program management, and operations teams to identify requirements and implement process enhancements. Analyze manufacturing capabilities and introduce process controls, including statistical process control methodologies where appropriate. Support manufacturing planning activities to ensure efficient use of materials, labor, and production resources. Identify, specify, and procure tooling and equipment required to support production objectives. Evaluate opportunities for new equipment and technologies that improve operational efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Create, revise, and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and production specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and hands-on training to production teams and supervisors.
  • Develop strategic process improvement plans focused on quality, cost optimization, and delivery performance.
  • Partner with engineering, quality, supply chain, program management, and operations teams to identify requirements and implement process enhancements.
  • Analyze manufacturing capabilities and introduce process controls, including statistical process control methodologies where appropriate.
  • Support manufacturing planning activities to ensure efficient use of materials, labor, and production resources.
  • Identify, specify, and procure tooling and equipment required to support production objectives.
  • Evaluate opportunities for new equipment and technologies that improve operational efficiency and product quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing engineering experience in low- to medium-volume production environments.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles and manufacturing best practices.
  • Experience working with manufacturing execution systems (MES), with exposure to Tulip considered advantageous.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and standard engineering tools.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to train, mentor, and collaborate across multiple departments.
