About the role

Lead the manufacturing engineering team, plan and assign activities, perform yearly reviews, manage and mentor Manufacturing Engineers, conduct production investigations, design and optimize manufacturing workflows, and coordinate validation activities.

Responsibilities

  • Risk and opportunities assessment, coordinate actions accordingly.
  • Identifies and addresses complex investigations to solve problems.
  • Conducts production investigations and determines root cause and associated corrective/preventative actions.
  • Coordinate OPEX activities in the department.
  • Designs and optimizes manufacturing workflows and resources.
  • Carefully coordinates the creation and maintenance of required documentation for manufacturing processes.
  • Identifies opportunities and proposes solutions for preventing waste and production inefficiencies.
  • Proposes and supports the implementation of actions to maximize safety, quality and reduce costs.
  • Supports installation and startup of new production systems.
  • Initiates and follows up Changes Control for the department process.
  • Coordinates and implements corrective and preventive actions in the department.
  • Coordinates the resolution of issues and delays in production.
  • Ensures that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
  • Supports development and improvement of production, processes, and personnel.
  • Coordinates DOE activities in the department.
  • Coordinates investigation of production quality deviation and customer claims, approving reports.
  • Stays updated with international engineering trends through visits to trade shows, research on emerging technologies, and evaluations of supplier capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods including Injection Molding and/or high throughput automated assembling process.
  • Blueprint interpretation, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and programming knowledge.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and listening skills.
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot production processes.
  • Strong project/team management skills.

Qualifications
